This course will guide the geoscientist, engineer and energy professional through key concepts of estimating reserves and resources for unconventional reservoirs.
Throughout the lessons in this course, GLJ will explore distinguishing features of an unconventional reservoir and connect the subsurface reservoir to future development through geological and engineering analysis.
Participants will dive into key data types and evaluation techniques, comparing deterministic, probabilistic, and statistical models with applications of fundamental analysis compared and contrasted between unconventional and conventional reservoirs.
GLJ will walk through existing development areas via case studies, illustrating specific components that may impact existing and future development, type curves and value.
Through successful completion of this course, the viewer will be able to successfully characterize their unconventional reservoir, build out estimates of future production, and properly classify their volumes as reserves or resources according to PRMS and COGEH.Read more...
