Seismic Fundamentals Course

This course provides earth scientists with essential knowledge and skills in 3D seismic interpretation for subsurface characterization. Designed for industry professionals, the course combines fundamental theory with real-world applications through a large number of case studies and visualizations. You'll learn proven workflows for structural and stratigraphic interpretation, attribute analysis, and reservoir characterization across different depositional environments.
The curriculum moves from basic principles through advanced techniques, covering critical topics such as well-to-seismic integration to amplitude analysis and direct hydrocarbon indicators. Special attention is given to recognizing common interpretation pitfalls and understanding new technologies, including AVO analysis, 4D monitoring, and machine learning applications.
