01. Lesson 1.00: Introducing the Instructor

Hi there. I'm Dr. Heather Bedle, and I am an associate professor at the University of Oklahoma. And just to tell you a little bit about my background, I've been at OU, the University of Oklahoma for about 7 years now, where I teach advanced geophysics, particularly around seismic exploration, seismic reflection methods. I run a couple of research groups, but I don't want to talk about them too much today. I teach quite a few classes at the University of Oklahoma, from seismic reflection fundamentals for geologists to geophysical basics for petroleum engineers. I've also spent about 9 years or so working for Chevron before I got into academics.
I'm very excited to teach you everything or almost everything that I know during this class.
